Bloop Animation is now part of Magic Media

Bloop Animation Acquired by Magic Media

A little over 11 years ago, I started Bloop Animation. It was a simple YouTube channel with a few animation tutorials, including one covering the process of how I made my student thesis film.

Animation is what I went to school for. It’s what I wanted to do since I was a kid. Telling my own unique original stories.

Over a decade later, Bloop Animation slowly transformed into one of the most popular animation course platforms, with tens of thousands of students worldwide.

And so, with great pride, we announce the acquisition of Bloop Animation by Magic Media.

Magic Media is a global entertainment service provider based in 15 countries and across 4 continents. They are home to an expansive group of industry-leading experts across all avenues, from interactive entertainment, software, application, and game development to cybersecurity, VFX, art, cinematics, and animation.

They have spent years building a talented team of experts in-house, and now they want to share this experience with the world.

Magic Media will expand the Bloop Animation online learning platform to cover an even greater range of subjects including gaming, technology, and more. Follow along for more exciting updates in the weeks and months ahead.

What does it mean for the future of Bloop Animation?

In a few words – only good things. This acquisition means there will be more courses coming out more frequently, expanding to other areas that were too much to tackle when this was a one-man show. Magic Media has a ton of experience in the animation and VFX industry and can tap into many different areas in the 3D production pipeline.

This is great news for past, current, and future Bloop students.

And as for me, well… It’s been a great ride. Thank you so much to everyone who’s been following our animated shorts, YouTube channel, articles, books, and of course, our courses.

I’m about to tackle an entirely new path, which I can’t expand too much on at the moment, but it also involves telling unique stories. If you’d like to keep up with what I’m doing and get updates when I’m finally allowed to share them, please join my personal email list on morrmeroz.com. This is where all future communications from me will be coming from.

Thank you for stopping by.

Best,
