Food For Thought

“Food For Thought” – an Animated Short Film

My thesis short film, produced at the Computer Arts department at the School of Visual Arts.

About the film

A fish’s journey to discover its true place in the world. “Food For Thought” is a 3D animated short film full of humor, dialogue and tragedy.

The idea for the film was conceived while I was at the zoo. I looked at one of the bigger tanks containing some killer giant crab. In the tank were other smaller fish but the sign on the tank was all about the crab. There were no pictures of the other fish, so I thought to myself: Do these fish know that they are not a part of the exhibit?

Since that one short, we’ve made more films and documented the process of making them.
