Final Thoughts

And that’s it! You’ve successfully completed the course for animation in Blender. With everything that we covered, you should now be able to import characters, import environments, create animations, perform camera work, and add effects. You should also now be familiar with pose mode, setting key frames, editing key frames using the dope sheet, graph editor and timeline, as well as curve editing using the graph editor and how to render your animation.

On top of all that you created an animation in Blender. Whether or not this was your first animation, this is still something to celebrate. Now it’s your turn to start experimenting and making things that you enjoy. Everything that you make from this point forward will have the benefit of the knowledge you now have of how animation works in Blender.

This is knowledge that I didn’t even have when I started, so I’m sure you’ll do great. And if you don’t feel like you absorbed everything at once, this course will always be here for you to reference and go back to while you’re working on your own projects. Another important note as we finish up this course is that I want to reassure you guys that there is so much more to learn about the art of animation than what’s covered in this course.

This course is designed specifically to get you started in animation in Blender from a technical standpoint. If you don’t feel confident in your animation skills yet, don’t worry. That’s normal. And now you’re even better equipped to learn the art of animation than you were before you learn these tools.

Keep pushing yourself to try different animations with the skills and tools you’ve learned from here and you’ll get there. And remember – use reference. Also for those of you who don’t know, I do have a YouTube channel under the name dillongoo, where I make fight animations. So if you ever want to see what Blender is capable of with stylized animation, I hope you can find some inspiration in my channel.

And if you ever have questions you want to ask me about the course, feel free to join me on my discord. This is where I spent a lot of my time, so just ask away if you have any questions about the course or Blender in general. And if you’re interested in more courses, you should definitely check out Bloop Animation and their online store.

I will also be releasing a few Blender tools and assets available for purchase on my online store if you’re interested, which is dillongoo.com. And all proceeds ultimately help me make more animations. Anyway, thanks so much for watching and participating in this course. It really means a lot to me and I really hope you learned something. If you ever want to share an animation you make with this course or just future animations, feel free to tag me on Twitter @Dillongoo. I would love to see more animations of Abi and Tabi, and I’ll be on the lookout for any animations you guys create. And a final thank you to everyone who made this project possible.
